The Great
AAC Challenge 2019

A month long challenge designed to raise awareness for augmentative alternative communication (AAC) through the support of our online community. We believe in the power of communication. Let's join together to make an impact and share our experiences.
THERE'S A GIVEAWAY AND GOODIES TOO!

WHY A CHALLENGE?

Challenges are a fun way to build a community!  They also help us to take a month of content and break it up into smaller themes, just for you!  Each day we will share about a topic related to AAC.  We welcome conversation on each post and we want to hear about your experiences with the use of AAC in your particular setting.  We hope that you will help us share about this challenge with your friends + coworkers!

WHY AAC?

The month of October is AAC awareness month.  The team of us that are hosting this challenge and giveaway are especially passionate about AAC. We have really have focused our continuing education and efforts on building our experience to become knowledgeable in how we support students who are in need of or are using AAC.   Do we know everything? NOT AT ALL.  But we do know that we are better together.  By focusing our efforts on raising awareness, we hope to help break the myths surrounding AAC and its use and to share some practical implementation tips to help anyone get started.
